Dr. Goldsmith has been practicing in Omaha for five years. Originally from Los Angeles, California, he earned a bachelor’s of science (BS) from the University of California-San Diego in Physiology and Neuroscience in 1999.

He graduated Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Finch University/Chicago Medical School in 2003 with a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Dr. Goldsmith was honored to graduate as a prestigious Swanson Independent Scholar. His 3-year surgical residency and postgraduate training in foot & ankle surgery and trauma was at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio where he served as chief resident from 2005-2006.

Dr. Goldsmith is certified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

Dr. Goldsmith is an active lecturer and researcher on foot and ankle surgery. He lectures nationally on a variety of topics including corrective flat foot surgery and preservation of the diabetic foot. He has published on a variety of topics including lawn mower injuries and cancer in the foot and ankle. (LINK TO DR. GOLDMITH’S RECENT LECTURES) His work has been published in the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery and in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. In 2002, he was the lead author and researcher on a manuscript that was the silver winner of the William J. Stickel Award from the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. (LINK TO DR. Dr. Goldsmith is an active member of the Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association (NPMA) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Since 2008, he has represented the NPMA on a national level as their elected representative for the American Podiatric Medical Association Political Action Committee.

Dr. Goldsmith is on staff at Alegent facilities (Immanuel Medical Center and Bergan-Mercy Medical Center), Nebraska Methodist Hospital and Creighton University Medical Center.
